CYO Program

Lial participates in athletics within the CYO Program.

CYO Cross Country

Go the Distance with CYO Cross Country.  Lial offers this fall sport to help develop the love of long distance running for students age 5 and older.  Join a sport that creates friendships, positive self image, and the beginning of a healthy life style.  The Cross Country team practices 2-3 times per week in the fall. The meets are held on Saturday against other CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) teams in the area and is an EXCELLENT way to allow families to get to know each other.

CYO Soccer

Kick for the Goal with CYO Soccer.  Soccer helps kids build valuable life skills such as hard work, and communication, as well as benefits in fitness and health.  It is a fall and spring sport for girls and boys 1st-6th grade. All games will be played at CYO fields. Typically 1-2 practices per week and 1 game per week on either Saturday or Sunday. 8 games total.

CYO Volleyball

Bump, Set, Spike with the CYO Volleyball league.  Volleyball is available for girls in 3rd to 8th grade.  This is geared towards the development and the love of the game while creating the skills to compete at the next level.  Volleyball helps to establish sharing and the art of teamwork.  Games are generally on the weekends.

CYO Basketball

Shoot for Two with CYO Basketball.  Basketball is a way students can take part in a rigorous sport and increase stamina.  It gives kids the benefit of agility as well as camaraderie.  This sport begins in 3rd grade for boys and girls and practices are generally twice per week after school.  Most games are played on the weekends.

Chess Club

Lial’s Chess Team helps develop logic, critical thinking, and creativity.  Primary through Middle School students participate in a chess club once a week and attend tournaments 2 to 4 times each semester.

Girl Scouts

Girl Scout Meetings 2023

Daisies, Brownies, and Junior & Cadettes – Readiness through Middle School girls enjoy meeting once a week here at school with their troops. Scouts are leader-dependent –with enough adult involvement, scouts can be for all ages.


Lial Outdoor Adventure Club

Lial Outdoor Adventure Club-Fall 2023 

The Lial Outdoor Adventure Club aims to bring students and families closer to God by experiencing and interacting with nature and all its wonder. Students and their families will gain an appreciation of nature as both a gift and a responsibility by undertaking outdoor adventures and learning wilderness survival skills in natural settings.

Savio Club

The St. Dominic Savio Club fosters leadership and care for others and incorporates a deeper understanding of faith in action.  This is a club for Lial’s Intermediate Students who follow in the example that St. Dominic teaches that no matter how old we are, we can serve the Lord in small ways, every day.


MS Quiz Bowl

 What is Quiz Bowl?  This is a game in which Middle School students participate and compete against other Catholic Middle School students.   They answer questions from all areas of knowledge including history, fine arts, science, current events and more.

MS Student Council

Our Middle School Student Council’s leadership goal is to initiate and support service projects. These elected students coordinate community-building experiences in the school that help develop the formation of faith by not only living it at Lial but sharing it to others.

Marian Club

Would you like to grow in your own love for Mary, the Mother of Jesus? Or be a spiritual leader, helping our staff and students know and love Mary more? If yes, you should consider joining #Whatever Marian Club. All MS students, girls and boys, are welcome. Come pray, eat, and work together on Marian projects for the school. Meetings are the last Monday of the month.
