For more than 50 years, Lial Catholic School has been strengthened by people who believe deeply in its mission. Parents, grandparents, alumni, Sisters of Notre Dame, and friends have generously invested in our students and helped make the Lial experience possible.

Today, that partnership is more important than ever.

Tuition provides the foundation for a Lial education, but it does not cover the full cost of educating each child. Philanthropic support allows Lial to invest in exceptional teachers, individualized learning, our Catholic and Sisters of Notre Dame identity, our campus, and the experiences that help every student discover and develop their God-given gifts.

Our approach to giving is simple: personal, thoughtful, rooted in relationships, and centered on our mission.

There are two important ways you can be part of that mission: supporting Lial today and investing in Lial’s future.

The Lisette & Aldegonda Giving Society

Leadership Giving Rooted in Our Story.

The Lisette & Aldegonda Giving Society recognizes individuals and families who make leadership-level annual commitments to Lial Catholic School.

The Society takes its name from Lisette Kühling and Aldegonda Wolbring, whose faith, courage, and vision are part of the story that ultimately gave birth to the Sisters of Notre Dame. Their willingness to respond generously to the needs of their time continues to inspire Lial today.

Through the Society, we invite our most generous supporters to make one thoughtful commitment for the entire year.

Rather than approaching families through a series of separate fundraising appeals, this model allows donors to consider their annual support of Lial as a whole—and allows the school to plan confidently and invest intentionally in our students.

Named for St. Julie Billiart, whose spirituality profoundly influenced the Sisters of Notre Dame and whose joyful confidence in God's goodness continues to shape Lial.

In 1972, Lial began with just 12 students and a bold vision for what education could be.

The 1972 Club celebrates the people who believe that this distinctive educational experience should continue for generations to come.

It provides an opportunity for alumni, past parents, grandparents, current families, and friends to maintain a lasting connection to Lial through ongoing generosity.

Every generation has helped build the Lial we know today. The 1972 Club invites the next generation of supporters to continue that tradition.

The Big Event

One Night.
One Community.
One Shared Mission.

Each spring, the Lial community comes together for the Big Event, our largest annual celebration and fundraising event.

The evening brings together parents, alumni, grandparents, friends, and supporters to celebrate our school while generating important resources for Lial.

Guests can support the evening through attendance, sponsorships, auction participation, and giving.

But at its heart, the Big Event is about more than fundraising.

It is a celebration of the people who make Lial possible—and an opportunity for our entire community to invest together in the students and teachers at the center of our mission.

IRA Charitable Distributions

Eligible donors may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution directly from an IRA. This can provide a meaningful way to support Lial while potentially satisfying all or part of an annual required minimum distribution.

Donor-Advised Funds

If you have established a donor-advised fund, you may recommend a grant in support of Lial or the Lial Foundation.

Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers match charitable contributions made by their employees. A matching gift may double—or sometimes further increase—the impact of your generosity.

Family & Private Foundations

Lial welcomes partnerships with family and private foundations whose philanthropic priorities align with education, faith formation, children, access, innovation, and community.
